  20. You can do UUCP polls to port 540 of your server (if it supports that)
  21. using a properly configured telser ACU with uucico using a "dumb" pro-
  22. tocol such as 'e'. Blocked and error-correcting protocols tend to
  23. incur performance penalties when used on top of another protocol (TCP)
  24. that already does that.

  27. uucico which can poll via TCP directly, without a faked serial device.
  28. It is currently in beta-testing, yet already usable.
